What was your preparation like before the competition?
Lilia said: "It was good. Since I arrived there I was out on the water training with friends and tuning into the conditions, and I was able to use every sail in my quiver which was nice."
What’s the next competition for you?
Lilia said: "The next competition for me is the UKWA slalom 2, but international wise I am not too sure."
How do you keep yourself motivated when things happen like boom malfunction and board delays?
Lilia said: "Things like that aren’t the most ideal things to happen during competition, but I just know that issues like these are beyond my control and there isn’t anything I could do about it."
When you are stood on the podium what goes through your mind?
Lilia said: "Ohhhh yeah! This is sick! As it was part of a mini-event happening in the town it was so cool to stand on the podium and see the locals there, it felt so welcoming."
What will you take from this competition and bring home with you?
Lilia said: "To be honest, it was a pretty tough competition, I had a couple over earlies and some crashes on gybes which was pretty tough to come back from. But although this was annoying for me this is definitely something that I will remember and something I will take into consideration for my training."
What kit were you using in the competition?
Lilia said: "I was using my NeilPryde Evos and WeOnes WeRace, such a great combo."
