Gold @trofeosofia! Absolutely phenomenal! How do you feel?
Emma said: “It’s crazy – I wasn’t expecting it at all. There are names on this trophy like Ben Ainslie, people I’ve looked up to since I was a kid. To have my name on there now is pretty cool. I’m super happy. I had a really good week and really enjoyed being on the race course. I didn’t feel too much pressure I just wanted to show what I’m capable of and I’m glad I managed to do that."

Overall winner! That was a huge trophy! Did you know you were going to be awarded the overall winner? That must have felt really special?
Emma said: "I didn’t know until about two minutes before. It was huge, it’s a complete honour to win it, no British female has ever won it and the names on that trophy are people I’ve looked up to since I was a kid. It’s super cool."

What was the racing like for you? Did you find the conditions difficult and how do you keep your focus during the races?
Emma said: "We had 19 races plus a medal race so it was a long week, we had a mixture of conditions, with some light winds and then up to around 20 knots by the end of the week. I enjoyed the challenge of having lots of different conditions. I just keep focused by having a good laugh with my coach and try to enjoy the moment."

You are smashing the races! What’s the next race?
Emma said: "Now I am home for a few months before the World championships in July in Denmark."
