This week The Official Test Centre Pro-Rider Scotty Stallman is competing at the first event on the PWA circuit, the 2025 Guadeloupe World Cup, the competition started on Tuesday Apr 22 and runs until Apr 26. Scotty is currently in twelfth place in the competition.

PWA spokesperson said: "Day 3: Matteo Iachino produces sensational display to lead men’s, while Justine Lemeteyer picks up where she left off last season to prove she’s the one to beat.

"After a quiet opening couple of days to the 2025 Riviera Guadeloupe PWA Windsurf World Cup, Day 3 proved to be the day we’ve all been waiting for as the world’s best racers were unleashed onto the racecourse for the first time this season. The opening event of the year is always an intriguing affair as you get to see for the first time where people are at after the winter break and it didn’t disappoint with a combination of high octane racing, big crashes and racing incidents. Guadeloupe also provided a stern all-round test with varying water conditions and wind strengths (7-20 knots) keeping the elite on their toes throughout. At the close of play though it’s reigning world champion - Justine Lemeteyer (PATRIK / PATRIK Sails / PATRIK Foils) - and Italy’s Matteo Iachino (Starboard / Severne Sails), who head up the event rankings after six eliminations for the women and three eliminations for the men."

Guadeloupe the first stop of the PWA World Tour. What are you expecting the conditions to be like?

Scotty said: "This is my first time travelling to and competing in the Caribbean, so first of all that’s pretty exciting! A few guys on tour come from Guadeloupe so they’ve given me a low down on what to expect. Sounds like it will be 15-20knots everyday which will be pretty much perfect conditions for racing on the big/medium kit! Oh and not to mention the 30 degree air temp and 25 degree water temp!"

How have you prepared for this trip? What training have you done?

Scotty said: "This winter I decided to stay at home and get use to my new foil and prepare as much as I can for the season ahead. With temperatures not getting too cold it turned out to be the right decision and many training sessions turned out to be very productive. Just before this event I received my new Vapor Air’s and I’ve spent a month or so testing and tuning getting them perfect for my riding style."

What kit will you be riding during the competition?

Scotty said: "It’s a foil only event so most likely I’ll be using the set up as follows; Tabou Manta Foil 86 with the Vapor Air 8.2, 7.4 and 6.3 paired with my PATRIK foil."

After your injury are you all healed now and do you feel confident about your fitness and your form?

Scotty said: "Definitely, it certainly took some time to get back to normal but with the help from Iain Wright (Chiropractor) and one of his ex work colleagues they worked the magic and got me fighting fit again! I definitely owe a lot to them and our goal was to be back to normal for the start of the season which we’ve definitely met!"
